Travis is my husband's name. Popular name in the 80's (when he was born) and especially in Texas. I love my husbands name and it fits him well. Strong and a man's man. It is definitely a name to go with if you want a strong, independent, smart boy.

We named our first son Travis and have had many compliments on it. We liked it because it's not a common name, he will most likely be the only kid in his grade with the name and it fits his personality. We are now about to have our second child and trying to find another unique name is becoming hard.
Travis is my husband's name, he was born in 1980.
We also named our son, born in 2009, Travis. We have been very happy with it. We like that it's recognizable so there are no pronunciation issues, it's a solid boy/man name, and no one else is using it in these parts so he probably won't have classmates with the same name.
I have known several Travis's and they have all had personality issues. This is just my personal experience and I find it very weird that I have never met a nice Travis.
