Commentary on the name Wynn:

This Welsh favorite is a fresh choice in America, yet it sounds pleasantly old-fashioned. That probably reflects the past generations of American Wins, short for Winfield, Winfred and Winston. The Welsh name comes from gwyn ("fair, white"), the familiar root of names like Gwendolyn and Guinevere.

My mom's maiden name is Wynn and when we were thinking of names for our daughter I really wanted to honor my mom's side of the family. We chose Wynn because it would honor my grandfather, grandma and mom all at the same time. I LOVE her name and get alot of comments on it.
