I have a son named Zarin, and, much to my surprise, I have met three other Zarins/Zerins since he was born. Often mistaken for "Aaron" when the "Z" sound is slurred in introductions, as in, "This is/My name is Zarin." Most people get the pronunciation right the first time they read it.
