Abbey

From the Hebrew Avigayil, which is derived from avigayil (father of exaltation, father is rejoicing). The name was borne in the Bible by one of the wives of King David. Comments and insights on the name Abbey: | Edit

I'm a huge Beatles fan and wanted a name that wasn't too Beatles-fan but also paid respects to my favorite band. I lived in London for a while and Abbey Road was my favorite place in the city. I often sat there just to read the newspaper and met lots of great people there from all over the world. Sitting there it became obvious that I should pick this name to both honor the Beatles and my favorite place in my favorite city.
