Adahlia-(Ah-doll-yuh) When we first selected this name and began telling relatives and friends what we were going to name our daughter they all replied "What?" Why don't you name the baby(thier name selection) As time went on and after our daughter was born (and they had more time to learn how to pronounce and spell it) they all agreed that it was a beautiful name.

While going thru a name book we came accross the name and liked the way it sounded as a 3 or four sylable name(ah-doll-yuh or ah-doll-lee-yuh) but we wanted to feminize the name by adding the spelling Dahlia which is a flower thus our spelling Adahlia which we pronounce as Ah-doll-yuh.This name is unususal, which is what we wanted as it would set our daughter apart from everyone else.

Adahlia- Many times over the years her friends and co-workers have shortened it to just Dahlia ( doll-yuh)
