In school teachers alwasy thought I was a boy and they just misspelled my name. I absolutely hated my name until I was around 12. Now, I love having a unique name. But if I had a quarter for every time I heard what's it short for? I'd be a millionaire. I say "nothing" they reply "Alexandra, Alexis??" I say "no, its just Alix" they say "not at all? are you sure?"
