Well my name is Amethyst and Ya its a cool name and its kinda funny when i meet a new guy or a new friend cause i have to help the say it rite and i love my name cause sometimes it fells like there no one wit the name Amethyst. I just dont hope it becomes a popular name like Ashley

My name is also Amethyst. My mom named me this because Amethyst was her favorite jewel and she thought it was very unique. But ever since kindergarten, there has been another girl in my grade with the same name! But other than her, I am yet to find another Amethyst.

This is my niece's name. When my brother first suggested it, I thought it was a little strange. Now she's 6 years old, and I can't imagine any other name for her!

My name is Amethyst and the best thing about it is that when someone calls you from across a room 10 people don't turn around, I have never met or talked to anyone else named Amethyst so it's pretty cool.

I find it quite amusing that most people do not know how to pronounce or spell my name and don't even know that it is a gemstone and the birthstone of February. And no matter how difficult they find my name to be, they never use my nickname!
