Personal experiences with the name Aspen: | Edit

DH found the name when we were trying to pick out a name for our daughter. He mentioned it to me and I quickly fell in love with it. We wanted a unique name but one that wasn't way out there or anything. My name is Kimberly and I hated being one of 3 Kimberly's in my class every year growing up(the name was popular when I was born). So, the name Aspen stuck and our beautiful little girl is named Aspen Noelle. It suits her perfectly, we had held onto another girls name just in case when she was born we felt the name didn't suit her but to us she looks like an Aspen!

Aspen tree, and Aspen the city!
The boy's name Aspen \a-spen,as-pen\, also used as girl's name Aspen, is of English origin. Tree name: a type of poplar familiar in the West, with heart-shaped leaves that quiver in the lightest breeze, hence its nickname, the "quaking" or "trembling" aspen.
