My name is Audie. I am 23 years old. I love it! When I was younger I hated it because it was sooo different. Now, I love it, I love the originality of it. It is a great conversational opener. I do get asked a lot how to spell it. Depending on what generation I talk to I get "like the car" Usually the younger crowd. The older crowd always asks "like Audie Murphy the world war II hero turned actor"

Well the first thing most younger people say to me is why did you name her after a car?! Well if you know a little about cars its spelled AUDI and the AU makes an OU(like ou-ch) for the car and AU in Audie makes an AW sound... Just clearing that one up haha. I love that I named my daughter Audie and everyone always comments on what a cute name it is, I usually don't have any problems with anyone mispronouncing it they almost always get it right the first time.

My Audie's middle name is Bri so we call her Audie B, can't really think of any nicknames that really come from the name except dee or dd....
