I actually like the name Bristol. It sounds like trendy names like Crystal and Brianna, but it's sparkling and individual, and associated with a beautiful place, Bristol Bay, Alaska. When I hear it, I think of the beautiful blue Alaskan waters.

Too bad it's so overly associated with a *certain someone* and her daughter, who bears the name and who's behavior I would not want any child to emulate. I don't think I would actually use the name Bristol unless it had some meaning for me and my family, and it doesn't because I've never been to Bristol Bay and I've only been to Alaska once, when I was 10. A lot of people make fun of her kids' names, but I like the girls' names. They are original but they don't sound forced. They stand out but still fit in and arent bland like others...*ahem* Jenna and Barbara! I may not agree with her politics, but Ms. Palin is certainly good at baby naming. (Well, the boys not so much, Track, Trig...)
