Caddie Woodlawn is a popular children's novel by Carol Ryrie Brink, and illustrated by Trina Schart Hyman which won the Newbery Medal in 1936. It is about a girl named Caroline, nicknamed "Caddie", living in the area of Downsville, Wisconsin.

"Caddie" is an Australian film, directed by Donald Crombie, released in 1976. The film is set in part in Sydney during the 1920s and 1930s, including the Great Depression, and tells of the life of a young middle class woman struggling to raise two children after her marriage breaks up.

Cady is short for Cadmium Gold (paint color, mom's an artist) in Hilary McKay's books about the Casson family.
