It is quite a common name in Russia, especially many Darias were born in 1980s. I am one myself.
- Personal experiences with the name Daria: | Edit
I'm in Australia. Since naming our youngest Daria about 50% of people have never heard the name before but say they like it, the other half ask if we've named her after the TV show. One Indiginous woman commented that she knows a number of older Indiginous women called Daria. I've also met 2 people who know someone who's name is pronounced 'Daria' but spelled differently as the person is from a European country.
