My daughter's name is Dinah Elizabeth. We were uncertain about choosing that name, because we were afraid other people wouldn't like it, and finally my husband said, "Who cares if other people like it? We like it, so let's do it." And I'm so glad he did. I kind of got hooked on the name while reading the book The Red Tent by Anita Diamant. Dinah suited her perfectly as a baby, and still suits her as a five-year-old. I think it will "wear well", and we've gotten lots of "Oh! I love her name!" comments when we introduce her, which is always nice. She loves that there's a common song with a Dinah in it. We often call her Dinah Liz--we didn't come up with that nickname, but liked it when someone else did.

Know someone who spells it Daina.
