I have had a lot of people comment on how they love the name, although my own parents didn't like it. Many people have been receptive to it and love it! It is one of those names for a girl that you either love or hate it!

Don't care for it for a girl...

This should not be used for girls as it is a very masculine name of a MALE god.
(Good grief, if this was a reason not to use the name we would never have a cameron diaz, morgan fairchild, drew barrymore, reese witherspoon, goodbye Sams, Ryans, Jordans,...no such thing as gender only names any more. and ps Dylan was a girls name before the welsh used if for their God of the sea)

My husband and I named our daughter Dylan because we loved the name and couldn't agree on anything else. He was super traditional and I was more trendy. It fits her and she looks like a Dylan, although we did give her a more feminine middle name, so down the road she hopefully won't get all mail that has Mr. Dylan on it!
