We've named our newborn (7/18/2011) Evangeline Rose and we're calling her either Evangeline or Evie Rose whatever we feel like in the moment...so cute to hear my 2 and 4 year old boys say Evangeline...I love it!

I chose the name Evangeline for my second child, however, I never got to use it as I had a boy! He is gorgeous but definitely wouldn't have suited Evangeline!! It's a beautiful name; feminine, classy, timeless and almost ethereal. Anyone blessed with this name, should be proud of it.
I named my daughter Evangeline, and she goes by Evie. She's nearly 3 and the name suits her perfectly. She loves that she's able to recognize, spell, and even type her name (E-V-I-E) easily, and adults seem charmed to meet a toddler with a sweet retro nickname. When I say her full name is Evangeline, the most common response is "That's beautiful!" I love that, if she ever outgrows her girlish nickname, she can reinvent herself as Angie, Lina, Eva, or a host of other nicknames.
This is my middle name and I LOVE IT! I actually had it tattooed on the back of my neck under my butterfly. It just looked so much more beautiful there than my first name and my future husband and I both have already agreed it will be our future daughter(s) middle name when we have kids.
