This is our daughter's name. It means "Save (or redeem), we pray".Strongly associated with Jesus' ride into Jerusalem on a donkey when He was greeted by the crowd waving palm branches.We brought our daughter home from hospital on Palm Sunday so it was also special.

Personal experiences with the name Hosanna: | Edit

This is my older sister's name and I absolutely adore it. I call her Hosie because it was long for a baby to say, but prefer the nick name Zanna or Sanna.

Our daughter also gets called Hosie or Zanna by her friends (she is 21) although within the family the full name still tends to get used.
