Inés,(Eenés)is the spanish version of the original latin-roman name Agnes.The first saint we find with this name was a 13 year old martir in the Roman Empire times, killed in the prosecution of early christians.

There are other Saint Inés's, in Italy and Hungary, a princess.

Agnes also refers to "agnus", "lamb" in Latin, so in images of St Inés she appears with a lamb in her arms.

Mother Teresa of Calcuta's birth name was Agnese, and she was albanian.
