Comments and insights on the name Ione: | Edit

My sister is named Ione, and she is very strong willed, but likes simplicity. she is also very classy and neat. the name says it all i think, Ione sounds strong, but is simple, it also have a very classy air about it.

Separate commenter: I know an Ione - pronounced EYE-own, rather than EYE-o-nee - which I think is an adorable pronunciation, but I don't think that the EYE-own that I know has ever been pronounced any other way. Oddly, like the other commenter mentioned, she is also very strong-willed - strong-willed and kind-hearted and very capable and independent. A very modern-minded and un-fussy woman.
