I never really liked my name growing up because it was so unique. Another down fall was you could never find your name on those cool pencils and key chains. lol As an adult I still can't find my name on those cool things but now I can appreciate being unique. I have found I need to spell my name a lot fewer times over the years so "Joelle" must be receiving some exposure.

When I was younger I would always get a bit angry when a new substitute would not pronounce my name correctly. I wished I had a normal name. But now, i love my name because it stands out from the crowd of Ashleys and Emilys.

When I was yonger I hated my name! But I have learned to love it. It was unique I couldn't see myself with any other name. It was funny when my mom herd so someone else with the name because she thought she made it up. A combination of both my grandmothers names, joy and carl. The only problem I can see with the name is the pronincation I have bad many epic failures at this from Joel to jo-lee, people just give up and calle me Joellen or joj. On and christmas time is fun with the ever so original Noel switched to Joelle!!!!

My English teacher Mr. McGee on the first day of class informed me that my name was too difficult to pronounce the correct way. He decided my ALL NEW name would be Jo-Lee. That one stuck for ALOT of years. I didn't mind it.

- my dad called me Elle. But the rest of the family used to call me Joelley (with and y/ie sound at the end.) but when my little cousin was little and couldnt say it she said Jelly. So that name stuck till today. I also am called Jojo, Jo, or Ellie.

Christmas was my "so called" friends favorite time of the year. They got to sing "Noel" in a choir concert. Guess what they sang instead? Just a few of them sang, "Jo-elle". VERY FUNNY. Every year at Christmas they sing me my theme song!
