This name is great for those who like classic names with modern spins. My great grandmother was named Marjorie, and Jorie is my way of being able to name a child after her.

My great grandmother was named Marjorie, and Jorie is my way of being able to name a child after her.

I know a Jorie who pronounces it JOR-ee, rather than JOH-ree, so that the first syllable is the same as in the name Jordan. (I like the JOR-ee pronunciation better; it's a little softer and less awkward for me to say.)
