My name is Kassandra and I love it. When I was little I hated it and I got really mad if anyone called me by it, but now I love it, even though I'm still not often called by it. Even though this wasn't intended, my grandmother's name is Sandra, so for me, it makes me feel special. My middle name is Lee too, so its Kassandra Lee, the Lee gives it more of a stronger feel to me, while Kassandra is still very feminine.

In Greek mythology, Cassandra (Greek: Κασσάνδρα, "she who entangles men"1; also known as Alexandra2) was the daughter of King Priam and Queen Hecuba of Troy. Her beauty caused Apollo to grant her the gift of prophecy. However, when she did not return his love, Apollo placed a curse on her so that no one would ever believe her predictions.
