This is a great name to use for your daughter not too many kids are named this. I have only came across 1 other person that is named this but I want to say it is spelled the other way Carrigan. I love this spelling(Kerrigan)it seems more bold and smart.

I named my daughter Kerrigan Noelle because I didnt want her having to be in school with about 5 other kids with the same name. My sister was in class with 4 Jessica's, 5 Sarah's, 3 Hannah's, and I didnt want her to have to say Sarah #1, Sarah #2 and so forth.

I dont use any nicknames for my daughter Kerrigan but my mom and grandma wanted to call her Kerrie(Kerry) for short but I told them no because it reminded me of the Stephen King movie "Carrie".

The name Kerrigan is a variation of Kerri and is derived from the British name Ceri, a British royal name. It is also a place name of a county in southwestern Ireland. Kerri is also from the Irish and means "dark-Haired". When my daughter was born she had coal black or jet black hair.

When I named my daughter Kerrigan, I had people ask me if I named her after Nancy Kerrigan but actually she didnt cross my mind when I did until someone asked me about it.

Got my daughter's name from the movie Casper except I didnt like the spelling (Carrigan)so I changed the way I spelled it to Kerrigan. I love this spelling more because it is bold and stands out more.
