My name is spelled with an "ie" and is very unique - KIMBERLIE. I have only met 2 other Kimberlie(s)in my 41 years. Consequently, you always have to spell it, so people get it right on forms, paper work and etc. Kind of a pain!
My very best friend is named Kimberly. She's got walls 50 miles high but it was worth getting past them.

My name is Kimberly but I have always been called Kimmie. I'm 26 and there were a few other Kim's at my school, but no Kimmie's. I have no complaints about my name.
