i love this name. I have a 2 year old daughter whose nicknames Kya. Her real names Kilyn. I made up the name just so I can call her Kya for short. I dont know anyone thats names Kya or Kilyn. It different and unique.

My daugther's name is Kya. We tossed up between Kyla and Kara, and it didn't fit as well with me. Her Dad put it together and came up with Kya.

I've read somewhere it's African for "Diamond in the sky". In my native language of Filipino, Kya means "able"

Kya is from a Steven King book called Bag of Bones. In the book they spelled it Kia but in the Audio version they pronounced it Ky-a.
