My name is Leta and I am over 50. I have enjoyed having an uncommon name. The only draw back with the name for me is that many people mispronounce it. I have always felt it was a solid name, and one that grows old with you well. I also like to think it sounds creative because of its uniqueness.
My name is Leta too and I'm still in school. I also like the uniqueness of being named Leta. I'm actually named after my great aunt Leta, who lived to be over 100 years old! It is true that people often mispronounce or misspell it. I have been called anything from Leta with a short e sound to Letty (how they got that, I don't know.) And when people misspell my name, it's often Lita, Leda, or Lida. Overall, I love my name because of how I got it and how classic it is.
My name is Leta and I am still in high school, soon to be college. I never used to like my name because no one ever pronounced or spelled it correctly. The most common mispronunciation has always been Lett-uh. However, as I grew older I really came to appreciate my name. I love that I am likely to always be the only Leta in any one place. I've never had to use my last name to distinguish myself from others. Also, there aren't any preconceived notions of the name due to its uniqueness and it will never seem very dated. It's a pretty fantastic name to have.

My name is Leta and I have never met anyone who has the same name. Leta was a popular name in the early 1900's. I was named after a family friend that had died and believe me you have to have a great sense of humour having a name like this! Leta ( is said like Peta but with a L) has given me a lot of nicknames, like gallon, pint, half pint, litre of milk, coke etc..........
