My first daughter's name is Maiwen (May-wen). My husband wanted to name our first girl after the blessed virgin Mary, and I have been writing 'favorite names lists' since I was 7... loving unusual names especially. I wanted something a bit more unique yet still rich in meaning to us. SO when I found this name in a celtic baby names book- meaning 'beautiful Mary'- I knew it was perfect! And our little Maiwen Rose Dillon was born in May and she truly is a one and only:)
