My name is, of course, Maren (pronounces mare-in, or as i also tell people, erin with an m). I love my name, I only wish I had decided when I was younger to spell it Marin just because most people think thats how its spelt and I got tired of making cursive R's when I was younger. I've found that many many people pronounce my name wrong or spell it wrong. I've been at my current job for a year and one of the clients still says my name wrong. Ive had people spell it Marian, Meran, Maron and people pronounce it Marian, Marren, Marilyn. I, unfortunately, have also gotten the nickname Mare-bear as well. I had a friend in high school call me that, then after high school at a new job, another girl give me that nickname without ever knowing I had been called that before. My Fiance as well as called me that not knowing others have and that I hated it. I also worked with a client, who had a disability, for almost a year and he always called my Marilyn.

I'm a Maren and ever since I was little I've gone by "Mari" (like safari) with family and friends, but Maren at work.

Some people call me "Marle", but there are actually no good nicknames of Maren which I know of.

My little sister's name is Maren, and we call her Mare-Bear.
