Comments and insights on the name Marjorie: | Edit

I once read that when margarine became a common grocery item, it killed off this name due to the similar sound. Which is rather a shame, as it was once a very popular classic.

Personal experiences with the name Marjorie: | Edit

My Mom gave my grandmother's name, Marjorie as my middle name. My husband says the name "Marjorie" reminds him of a little bird. I wish to name a future daughter "Marjorie Grace" after my beautiful grandma who recently moved to heaven because of breast cancer.

I enjoyed growing up with the name Marjorie (nickname Marjie) because it was original without being too unique. I never had to worry about having another Marjorie in my class. The only downside was having to spell my name out as a lot of people assume it's spelled with a 'g'.
