Everyone calls you Mercedes Benz, BMW, Porsche, etc.
You don't know how many times people have thought they were so clever and said, "ha ha you should marry someone who's last name is Benz! then you'd be Mercedes Benz!"
DONT name your child Mercedes.

My sister's name is Mercedes but she is known by her nickname "Maycie" so she bypasses all the teasing. Although she IS proud of her original name because we tell her it's a really expensive and high-class brand of car and she wouldn't expect anything less than the best!

My Great Grandmother's name was Mercedes. She immigrated from Puerto Rico to NYC, and she HATED the way white people pronounced her name (like the car.)

My Aunt's name is Mercedes. I don't think she ever really got teased for the name, mainly because, since she's Puerto Rican, you don't pronounce it like you would the car.
