My name is Mhairi, pronounced Vahree. I know a few Mhairi's pronounced Vahree and one pronounced Mahree. The correct pronunciation for this name is Vahree, but there are some who pronounce it Mahree (maybe because it is likely much easier!). Typically, Mairi/Mari would equate Mahree with the Mh version i.e Mhairi being pronounced Vahree. The name is Gaelic and so the Mh in the name are pronounced as a V would be in an English name.
