Im a Millicent too, but i go my Millie, always have. People think its a lovely name, but i would rather of had a name that isnt quite a mouthfull haha. most people are shocked by my name, with the usual reply of "never heard that name before" or "wow, not very common!" i know its not common, but i do enjoy the fact that im the only Millicent my friends know, makes me feel like my own person! i think its a lovely name. The downside of this name is that i do get called 'Millicent Bystander!" thanks to the 'Flushed Away' movie, haha thanks very much for that. i have grown to love my name, and i think its adorable and has strong meaning :D xx

I have grown up with the name Millicent and find it to be ok. I'm really a fan of super-unusual names and Milli seems wayyyyyyyyyyyy too common for my liking. However, its ine to live with.
I am a "Millicent" and I like my name (the whole name, no nickname "Millie".) However, when I was in high school and college I wanted a nickname and so became "Millie" to lots of people. It has been hard to change and get back to Millicent but that is what I now am. My name will not become unpopular because it has never been popular! I like that it is unusual----most people say "oh, that is a pretty name--I've never heard it before when I give my name.
My Grandmother's name is Millicent, but she goes by Penny. I'd say it's a rather old-fashion name, but there's a lot of room for creative nicknames.
