my first name is Paulette. I am a 31 year old female maori from New Zealand. Although not fond of the name earlier in my life, over my 31 years i've learned to love and finally appreciate my given name. I was so named after my mother's most favourite and cherished brother Paul, who passed away in 1975 at the age of 17 years from Leukaemia, so it has extreme sentimental value not only to myself but also to my family. I have worked hard to establish my name and now stand today proud to be called Paulette. It's not a very common name but it is a great name to have, a name you have to be born to. I feel I am in every way a Paulette!
