I've heard this name used for women now in their mid-20s.
My wife is named Raymie. Pronounced like do "re mi" fa so la.... Interesting, the late Senator Brooke from Mass had a daughter named Remi and pronounced the same way. My wife was a voice major in college..go figure, and is an opera singer now. However, like in many cases, her name was feminized from her father's name, Raymond.

I'm a 43 year old male named Rayme. My name came from an old movie in the late 50s early 60s called "a Boy named Rayme". It was about this kid that was on the hunt for the elusive biggest catfish in the lake, but in the end he learned that it wasn't catching the fish that mattered. It was the hunt. My mom spelled it wrong because its different from the movie but I don't mind. I've been a musician all my life and believe me at first I hated the name, but once I got in the local scene, it was a perfect stage name. Just Rayme. So there you go, this is only in my case, I don't know where the name actually comes from originally. HOpe this helps some of you.
