Personal experiences with the name Rose: | Edit

Being named Rose as a little girl it was kind of a mature name to have to live up to. It was also hard as when I was a kid (80's & 90's) the trend of "old fashioned" names were not in. It took me awhile to grow to like my name but once I did - about 14 or so I would never have it changed. I love knowing that I'm most likely the only Rose anyone knows. I have a unique name without having a crazy name.

I am another person named Rose. I was born in '79. I have enjoyed having this name. It's unusual but it is also easy to spell and pronounce (and my last name isn't). It is old fashioned but feminine and strong and i think that suits me. When I was 8 or 9, there was a brief period where I sometimes wished my name was Stacy or something trendier, but as a teenager and as a woman, I really like having a classic, classy name. I agree with the above commenter that Rose is a name that is special without being confusing or strange.
