We named our daughter Sabine Arabella. While I don't love the name with all my heart like some others, it was a compromise that my husband and I could agree on because of it can be used all over the world and is easily pronounced by most speakers. My husband is French, I am American, his parents are Moroccan and we currently live in France. I am glad she has a typically French name since I am a foreigner here, it helps the Frenchies relate to her better. My name incidentally is Nicole - and they often are surprised that an American would have a French name! I tell them that actually all names can be considered American really. But a big priority for me, is the pronunciation of Sabine - if you heard the way people slaughter names that are beautiful in English but they just sound stupid in French like: Adam (Ado) or Matthew(Mat-tew) - it is horrendous. No one will mispronounce Sabine. And actually, I do like the name, it is fun to call her 'my little Bean' since she is only 3 months old - it is cute and so is she.
We have twin daughters named Sabine Luvenia and Marlo Amalia. I love their names and at the young age of two years old they seem to already own their names. The girls have an older brother named Hugo Augustus.
