We have twins..Ryker and Simone. Simone is a family name and we just love it!! We assumed we would call her sisi as a nickname but Mimi stuck so she has been Mimi since day one..beautiful classic name.

Personal experiences with the name Simone: | Edit

Our daughter is named Simone so obviously, I love it! Such a beautiful name! We get many compliments on her name and it suits her so well. Smooth and sweet. Nickname for our Simone is Si Si (see see). Didn't plan on it, but it just stuck! Easy for little kids to say too.

A friend's young daughter has this name. I complimented her on it and she frowned and told me she hates it because it's not a girl's name. I think perhaps people mix it up with Simon.

A Simone in our family has the (unfortunate) nickname "Monie" (rhyming with Tony).

I think Monie is a cute nickname!

I know a Simone, and everyone makes fun of her by calling her Simon. Well, I don't. I think it's a really nice name.
