Like other "weather" names, such as Stormy, Windy, and Misty, this name peaked in the late 1960s to early 1970s.

Especially after reading A Series of Unfortunant Events, i love the name Sunny. It's my favorite baby girl's name, along with Nessie and Matilda.

My grandmother's name is Sunny and I think it is wonderful. She definitely fits her name, and I love that it sounds young still (as opposed to, say, Agnes). I think it's a name that fits well at any age. Wouldn't you want to be Grandma Sunny when your old?
