We liked Tavia, but thought people would short form to Tav and wanted it pronounced tay-ve-ah -- so my wife and i came up with Tayvia.

Our first baby, a girl, is named Tayvia. We have had very positive feedback from our family and friends...most noting it's a pretty name, but not too 'far out there'

we originally found a welsh name Távia which is a derivative of Octavia but didn't like the accent -- so we improvised.
