I called my daughter Tilly as I thought it sounded cute and she seemed to really suit it. I also made into a double name; Tilly-Mae, it went well with the middle name we had chosen; Arietta, my fiance is Italian so her middle is Italian, I wanted an English name for her first name.

My sister's name is Tilly and people have always commented on what a beautiful name it is. It's originally short for Mathilda but she was actually named after my great aunt, who was christened Tilly. She didn't like her name when she was younger because she thought it was 'weird' but has grown into it. People shorten it to 'tils' mostly, her friends call her 'tildred' sometimes to irritate her.
