I was named after my parents' very best friend who is now age 94 (and going strong). Growing up I disliked my name. It was always mispronounced: Wilma, Hilda, Wanda, etc. As an adult I like my name alot. I have met several other Wildas, 2 of them being younger than me (mid 50s). I have found that Wildas are generally optimistic, have great senses of humor and tend to be creative in the arts, writing, etc.

Wilda is my grandmother's name. We enjoy calling her Wildebeest behind her back.
