Meghan: I'm not a big fan of the name Jocelyn, but I know a couple. I was volunteering at an elementary school today, and there was a Jocelyn in the second grade class I was in. She was a very cute and smart little girl, wearing a very fancy dress with white tights and tennis shoes :) I also know a baby Jocelyn who is adorable and chubby. Her sisters' names are Hannah and Katelyn. Also in the second grade class was a girl named Jet. I had never heard that one before.

Other Tolkein names I like: Galadriel, Undomiel, Silmarien, Arien No Wheel of Time Characters made it, so here's some female names from that series: Egwene, Faile, Elaida, Nynaeve, Moiraine, Aviendha, Min, Aeldra, Alviarin, Verin, Liandrin.

@Kern: I love the name Cora, but I'm not a fan of hyphenated names. I like Jane as a middle name though. Willa is nice too.

YAR- For me it is a little too rhyme-y , and 3 'A' names seems a little much. I do know a family though with 4 kids whose names all start with Br (Br!anna, Bryce, Brend@n, and Brooke) and their last name starts with a B as well.

Chimu: My favorite first name on your list is Cordelia. Cordelia Astrid maybe? Though I do like it flipped around too as others have suggested. I feel like Xanthe could be an annoying name to have with spelling and pronunciation difficulties. (I think I know how to pronounce it, but I'm not sure, and I think a little Xanthe would run into that problem frequently). Coll: I agree with others that Josephine Kelly is a beautiful name!

9

Kadusey: I absolutely love the name Cora. I'd agree that Gwen and Brenna are too match-y. For some reason when I say Aiden, Caleb, Gwen, and... the name that pops into my head is Lydia. Some other ideas for you: Emma Brynna Ella Nora Sarah Leila Mara Brekka Etta Mira Lucy Bria Lyra

10

knp: Some middle name suggestions: Lorelai, Celeste, Katherine, Evelyn, June, Helene, Eleanor, Vivienne, Genevieve, Beatrice, Mae, Josephine, Faye, Lane, Ruth

11

Abbigoose- I love Lily Mae and Julia Isabelle. Ellie Rose is cute too, but like some other people have said I'd like it more if Ellie was a nickname for Eleanor, Elizabeth, Elaine, Ella, Ellowen, etc. Gretchen- My favorites from your list are Henry and Jane. I think that both work well with your other kids' names. Some other ideas for you are: Nora, Hazel, Helene, Lydia, Viola, Lorelei

Pip - I love your name choices! I prefer Vivienne, I guess, but I don't see Vivian as masculine. It's a beautiful name either way.

13

Allegr@: I like Felix and August (mostly because of the nickname Gus) the best our of your list. Another Laura: I like James Lawrence. It's a very strong sounding name.

14

alr: Here's another vote for Naomi Violet. I agree with the person who said being given one of your mom's very favorite names is a good family connection. Maybe then the name Violet will be passed down to her children and beyond.

Sadie Bug: I LOVE the name Eleanor. It's one of my absolute favorites. Here are some ideas for you: Georgiana (Georgie) Olivia (Libby) Katherine (Katie) Alexandra (Alli - had to throw that one in there ;) - or Lexi) Arabella (Ari) Lucille or Lucia (Lucy) Aurora (Rory) Margaret (Meg - not an 'ee' ending, but cute- or Maggie) Elizabeth (Lizzy, Betsy, Betty) Annabel (Annie) Lydia (Lydie) Hermione (Mimi) Josephine (Josie) Camilla (Cami) Samantha (Sammie) Sophia (Sophie) Caroline (Carrie) Genevieve (Jenny) Virginia (Ginny) Lillian (Lily) Penelope (Penny or Poppy) Charlotte (Lottie or Charlie) Julia or Juliet (Julie) Serena (Rini) Fiona (Fi) Nicole or Nicolette (Nikki) Madeline (Maddie) Cassandra (Cassie) Sorry there are so many of these -they just keep popping into my head! dsutton1977: Eowyn is a great name! Out of your choices I like Helena the best. Here are a few other ideas: Calliope Eliza Harper Odette Leda Aria Arwen (if you're really big LOTR fans) Ayane Cordelia Ophelia Viola Hermione Hermia Freya Elaine Lyra Athena Hera

@LarkSong: I like the name Aurora (I also pronounce it Ah-roar-ah) better than Astoria, but I think that Phoebe Astoria is the better sounding combination. @Pipe -o: In my opinion, Gabbie Grace is too long for a nickname. My mom calls me Alli Anne sometimes, but its never something I've been called by anyone else. I'd say if you don't like just Gabbie, don't go with it in any form.

@Janie- Ellie Clare Skyler (I guess, not really a fan of the name in any form) Madison I really don't like any Mc/Mac names Cameron Isabelle Kate Isla Leah Paige Adeline Evelyn @Lillo I pretty strongly favor one name over the other on almost all of your pairs: Sophia - no question Hannah - again an easy one for me Harper - also no contest Ellie or Addie - I like both of these. Natalie Claire - I like it better without the 'i' :) Morgan or Maddie - not very fond of either of these Adele - I guess. :)
