Gosh, I just felt AWFUL once I realized -- I never would have posted had I known! Really glad someone said something.
You know, I think I subconsciously included Noel only because my pick for a girl's name was Claire Noelle, and it's still lingering in the back of my head! I agree, Noelle is a beautiful name.
Our neighbor named her fourth son Quinlan, and they all him Quin. I've always thought it was a boys' name. I really like it!
Thank you so much, everyone! It's great to have different perspectives. I've been stuck on what I think may be too popular/M names (since I already have a child with a name that begins with "M")/names that end in -on/etc. To step away from it and hear other opinions is really refreshing. And since we are keeping the name choice on the DL until he's born, it's great to discuss with people who obviously won't tell our family! ;-)
Oh, and thank you very much for the heads-up about the name Cohen. I absolutely had no idea it had any negative connotations associated with it. I just joined yesterday, so I haven't had a chance to look at any of the older posts. I saw it on a random list posted somewhere and thought it sounded unique. I meant no disrespect, so I hope no one took it that way. Again, thanks for letting me know.
I'm hoping to have a short list soon! My husband hasn't commented much on any of my suggestions (he hasn't seen the entire list yet). Here's hoping we can narrow it down to a few favorites!
I absolutely love August. That was the middle name of one of my friends in school, and I always loved his name.
