Hi there,

Just thought I'd add an updated association for the name Lennon.  Up until last year I would have immediately had the John Lennon association too, but many kids today will associate the name Lennon with 14 year old Lennon Stella.  Lennon makes up one half of 'Lennon & Maisy' - the singing Stella sisters who currently star in the TV show 'Nashville'.  They have amasssed a huge following on Youtube (even before nashville screened).  Both girls are immensely talented and I think we'll be hearing a lot more about Lennon Stella in the future.

You can check out Lennon here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_aJHJdCHAo  (just singing but she plays guitar and piano too).

On your list I like: Sadie (my 12 yr old cousin's name), Rory, Penelope (love Penny as a nickname but think Nell would work too) and I also like Lyra and Hattie.

In Response to Name Spotlight: Kiara

I saw this online today and thought it would be of interest: http://jezebel.com/map-sixty-years-of-the-most-popular-names-for-girls-s-1443501909

It's a visual representation of the most popluar girls name state by state (in the USA) over six decades...  Stuff we may be familiar with but presented in a cool visual way (which is why I love Babyname Wizard tools)..

Posters have mentioned your slightly English vibe.. I don't know if this appeals but I know a couple of Benedict's here in the UK who go by the nickname 'Ned' which of course could go further to a little 'Neddy' it also gives the option of 'Ben' if he prefers it.  I suggest it as you like Edgar and Edwin with the nick-names Ed and Eddie...

As a person living in the UK I atuomatically think umbrella when I hear 'Fulton' as it's a very famous brand of umbrella (they make all the Queen's umbrellas).. but I imagine in the US the association would not be there.

Good Luck with your name search!
