Gaaaaahhh... Are you serious? I thought "Elliott" was a name everyone had heard of, but wasn't super common, and unlikely to rise in popularity a lot. Oh well, for us, it was a family name first and foremost, but I just also happened to really like that is was so removed from the 'ayden' trend. Also, other commenters mentioned Margaret. Yeah... That is our girl name! (Elliott was a surprise until his actual birth day). Margaret, also a family name, was one I loved as well because it was far removed from a lot of the trendy names. I hope it remains obscure!
I love it!
My only suggestion for the spelling of the nickname, would be "Gwen", since there are multiple e's in her name.
Lovely name! I know just how you feel about the Kardashian baby! I was SO worried before I had my son that a celebrity would choose the name we already had picked! I was most concerned about Jennifer Garner, because she was due just a few weeks before me, and her name style was most similar to mine. (She named her son Samuel, ours is Elliott.)
I actually work in the country music entertainment industry, so I find this post very intersting! I LOVE your addition of the name Autry. I wouldn't personally choose that name, but it's spot-on for this style. And BTW, I know 2 little boys named Oakley.
