I love Ellis for a girl, but I don't like the trend of using traditional boys names for girls.  (And I don't like it for a boy.)

Yes!  At storytime I saw a girl's nametag for "Iyla," which totally ruined the name for me- I only like it spelled Isla!

When I worked as a librarian my favorite teen patron was named Agnes, and it forever changed the name for me.  Now I picture a smart, athletic, beautiful reader when I think of the name!
