I agree you should go with the name you like.  If you're having the baby first, you win.  They had a chance to name their first kid Dakota and didn't.  ANYWAY... I wouldn't get too hung up on the name "matching" her sister.  I mean, I wouldn't name them Penny and Jenny or something silly like that, but think about her whole life.... are you concerned as an adult if your name "goes with" your siblings'?  Probably not.

I was pregnant while my husband was in law school (now a lawyer).  We tossed around names and loved one, but his initials would have been LAW.  It was too cheesy for us.  I was determined not to make a joke of my kid.  His initials are EJW... didn't think you could make that something bad.... until the first day of daycare when they put EW on everything.   I named my kid Ewwww  NOOOOOOOOOO

My name is Hallie  (HAL-lee).  I get Haylee and Holly more than I get my actual name.   I grew up with Jessicas and Ashleys and Jennifers and Amdreas and Megans and Emilys.  Not many names that needed explaining/correcting.  I HATE MY NAME... PLEASE people think about your children before you name them something they will have to correct/explain EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. OF. THEIR. LIVES.  It's HORRIBLE

I have a cousin Ralie (RAY-lee)  She's in her 30s and I've never met another.  Unique, but rarely messed up.

In Response to Which middle name?

Any name that you have to explain the pronunciation should be avoided at all costs in my opinion

-Sincerely.... someone who has had to correct the pronuniciation of my name every day of my life.

I love Marjorie!  ...  a family name in MY family, too :)   I know a very delightful young lady named Mara, but if you look it up it means bitter and grief.  (If meaning isn't important to you, go with it).  I think Emery sounds like you're trying to say Emily, but have a speech impediment (sorry for people who love that name... just a personal opinion).  Also, she'll probably be correcting people from "Emily" her whole life... as someone with a name like that it's no fun.

I love Meredith... my fav of your list :)

Good luck!!!
