My handle is the genus name for the flower I share my name with. I have always been fascinated by names, and language in general, as outlets for both creativity and tradition. My current naming daydreams center around finding names for my someday-in-the-future children - those elusive perfect names that will connect them to their East Indian heritage but travel well through the world, honor family on both sides, reflect the values and joys we hope to share (nature, music, kindness, adventure), and just sing to us. A tall order - better start working on it!
