I like Valerie Lauren Nara the best! I think it flows wonderfully, and it's so pretty, too.
My middle name is McKenzie, with a capital K, and it's always been a real bug that the SSA name list does not recognize that capital letter. Thankfully, my birth certificate says otherwise. :)
Regarding Breña: I love it! It's a gorgeous name. I've never seen that spelling before. I only know of Brynja, the Icelandic version.
Also, I have a Great Aunt Lena (now deceased) somewhere in the family on my dad's side, and I've always really liked her name. I would love to see it today, and not as 'Lina' like another of my niece's nickname.
I "created" Annelise (two syllables), Alyssa and Gracelynn when I was 9! Imagine my disappointment when I found out they were real names, and also when my brother named his daughter Gracie about three years later. I never mentioned the names, either. *shrug*
Sharalyn: I love your name! :D
elande: I love Scarlett, Violet, Eleanor, and Vivian. Claire and Hazel are also nice. Lucille has always been stuffy to me, but that's just probably because of the Junie B. Jones series. From your query, I would pick either Scarlett or Vivian. Both are beautiful classics and definitely heard of, but neither of them are as popular as the older names coming back. Violet and Eleanor are great, too. :D
Side note: I have a dog named Scarlet, and one of her daughters is named Violet, who we call 'ViVi' and 'Vivi' and sometimes even 'Vivian'! :D
Zaphod is all Meerkat Manor to me! I love it and I don't think it's geeky at all.
The same goes for Elphaba (girl)!! <3 and I've always thought that Gandalf was pretty cool. :D
I liked Nymphadora until I saw the HP movie featuring it... definitely a bit geeky! The rest of the names on your list there though, Tina, seem fine to me.
I never thought I'd be posting here! I usually just like to read your guys' comments.
I had to say, though, sharalyns: Evangeline Ramona keeps coming to mind.
As for the kid with the long name: I normally hate combinations like these, but that one is actually very nice! Hey if anything, he got a great first name. :)
