Thank you! Little Graham Thomas decided to "shake up his Mama's world" last Wednesday (9/19) and arrived 6 weeks early! He is still in the NICU, but is progressing well daily. He might get to come home in a week.
Thank you for all your thoughts and opinions. I guess I should have clarified, we live in the US, so Graham is pronounced like "Gram". It's nice to hear opinions other than my three-year-old daughter's! :)
Thank you for the link to the social security state look- up. That was very helpful. I know popularity and trendiness should not be an issue....I should focus on a name that we agree on and love.
Thank you for all your replies and encouragement! Leo is my favorite and Graham is my husband's. I guess Miles is our compromise. I do not know any young children named Leo; I guess I did not realize its increase in popularity. I will have to keep subtly suggesting it. I feel a lot more confident about the name now.
You have a great point! I think Leo is a bit more unusual and that might cause more attention to be drawn to a person. I am sure this is just a crazy pregnancy thought, I just remember how horrible teens can be. I don't want to choose a name that would add more teasing. Maybe my whole thought about this is a little unnecessary.
Your responses are great! Sloane's middle name is Frances (family name). I hope to use Eleanor (another family name) if we have a girl. I think Hadley is adorable, but I recently had a cousin use that name. The only name my husband has suggested that he likes is Zoe. He thinks it has "spunk and character". Since typing my last response, he has vetoed Blair. He says Morgan is "ok" and does not like Maren. My daughter and I like Maren...so I hold onto it (with hope) because at one time he liked the name Maris and said it was the "best on the list". Of course now he doesn't like Maris.
Thank you for all the suggestions. My husband is the hard one to find even one name he will consider. I personally love whimsical, pretty names, but no chance for him to consider those styles. I do agree with several posts that Wren blends with Sloane. I appreciate all the suggestions. The ones that I liked were Brynn, Eden and Paige, but my husband did not. I realize he will have to compromise if we end up having a girl.
What are your thoughts on Haddon, Blair, Maren, Sage or Morgan with the name Sloane?

Thanks for your input. How do you check the stats for the states? I went to the soc sec web site, but I could not find the link. I live in Missouri.

Thanks for all your responses. I found out today that it's a boy...so no need to ponder girl names! :)
