I was just throwing Nick around, actually!
Mark is great, but we can't use it.
Not totally sold on Greg.
Tim is growing on me! The more I hear it and think about it, the more I like it.
The Luke/Lucas/Luca problem wasn't something we considered when nameing Luke, but it deffinetly part of the issue with popularity we have. The combination means the overall popularity is much higher than we anticipated. We knew it was higher than we wanted but not how much more popular.
I hadn't considered that Thomas is probalby actually less popular than Luke with all the varriations.
Mark does hit the spot. And I might even consider bending my rules for it because it is such a perfect fit... except I can't use it for extended family reasons.
I really like David and Daniel, but I think they are too popular for us.
Dennis and Kenneth and Kevin sound... dated? (Strange thing for a mother of a Margaret to say, I know!) I'm not sure what it is exactly about them. But I don't like them.
Gregory and Brendan aren't bad, but I don't love them. And Brendan sounds terrible with our last name.
Tim is growing on me. And I know that whatever name we choose I will come to love it as it becomes part of of a child I love!
This might explain why people always seem to think that my son's name is a nickname, when it is in fact a traditional full name. His name? Luke!
I introduce him as Luke, and people start calling him Lucas, as if all Lukes are short for Lucas! It baffles me.
